Slide the dishwasher under the kitchen counter, feeding the power cord, the water supply tube, and the drain hose through the holes in the sidewall of the cabinet. Line the appliance up to the center of the opening without pushing it too far back.
Installing a dishwasher successfully does require proper know-how and equipment, including a dishwasher installation kit that has a 90-degree fitting and water supply line.
Is it better to side mount or top mount a dishwasher? ›The side mount is far stronger, allows the dishwasher to be flush with the frame and it keeps it in place. The old top mount was a balancing act with the front leg adjustment and where to put the top screws. A good accidental push could shift the diswasher around a bit.

Insert the tool fully and remove the non-drive (left-side) cup by turning counterclockwise, holding the tool firmly to the cup. Remove any internal sleeve. Take note of any spacers under the cup for reassembly.
